High yield, high quality bermudagrass production systems research reveals the benefits of NPK fertilization. Stand survival was improved by a balanced NPK fertilization program. In Georgia, stand survival and high yields of quality bermudagrass were achieved. Each ton of forage contained about 50 lb of N, 12 lb of P₂O₅ and 47 lb of K₂O. Thus an attainable seven ton yield removes about 350 lb of N, 85 lb of P₂O₅, 330 lb of K₂O, 25 lb of Mg and 30 lb of S from each acre.
